Is it possible to say that some countries are just unbelievable because they have it all? What does that mean? It’s simple; they almost demand your attention!

Let’s be frank, The Republic of Georgia is one of those places that has it all.

But what is the one thing that fascinates tourists in this country the most? Ancient culture, stunning nature, delicious food and wine, great hospitality, beautiful people or something else?

First of all, we’re not talking about the American state of Georgia, the place that Ray Charles famously sang about. Or a ‘part of Russia’ called Georgia. Let’s forget these common misconceptions about Georgia.


We are talking about the country, where winemaking has been practiced for over 8, 000 years. Georgia has a unique alphabet – one of only 14 independent alphabets in the world! Three UNESCO world heritage sites are situated across the country. Georgia has extraordinary traditional food. One of them, Dambal Khacho, a rare sort of Georgian cheese, has been added to UNESCO's intangible Cultural Heritage list. Georgia’s Nature can make you speechless. The Tushetian village of Bochorna and the Svanetian commune of Ushguli are Europe’s highest permanently inhabited settlements. This place where Georgia’s one and only Queen Tamar built her own summer and winter towers. Could there possibly be anything else?

Well, Yes! The first human civilization outside of Africa was discovered in Georgia (the remains of that settlement are 1, 75 million years old).

Do you love swimming, skiing, hiking or just relaxing? You can have it all. Georgia is one of the most ecologically diverse countries in the world, with climatic zones ranging from subtropical and high alpine to semi-desert.
